It’s that time again, folks! Camden has gotten another month older, and as another month has passed I have more to update on my sweet little boy. Camden has been doing really well lately. He is very talkative, and responds when I speak to him. He is so close to being able to say Dada, we are hoping that is will be any day now.

I started feeding him baby food sometime last month, and he is doing really well with that. He absolutely loves pears and sweet potato. It is so fun watching him grow and seeing his personality take shape. Earlier today he started to scoot himself across the room at his Papa & Gigi’s house. Pretty soon I think we will have a mobile baby on our hands! For right now he loves walking around the house with me while I hold his hands. He is so curious and wants

to be independent so badly (as long as his mama is in sight of course).

I really want to focus more on practicing baby sign language with him. He has started to bang his hands together a lot (almost like a clap, but not quite there, I’ve noticed this month is full of a lot of “almosts”). I think it would help him out a lot more if we were more consistent. That sort of what it all boils down to now, consistency. It has still been a battle trying to get Camden sleeping in his crib in his own room. Some nights are better than others, but we cannot seem to get him to sleep for more than a couple of hours without him waking up. When he sleeps with us, he doesn’t wake up at all. If any of you have any advice on how to get your baby to sleep through the night or any book recommendations I’d be interested in hearing them! This mama is tired of sharing her bed.

Anyways, here are some baby milestones.

 

Baby Milestones

Camden can now sit up all on his own and can pull himself up when he holds onto our hands. He loves walking around the apartment and is very curious. He cries a lot when I won’t let him. I really want him to crawl soon, but I think he will go from crawling to sprinting at any time. Time to baby proof the apartment!

Cam made his first mess! I mean he has made messes before, but the other day he got into the magazines we keep under the living room table and dumped over his basket that holds his burp cloths and bibs. He did it so quickly, magazines and bibs were spread around everywhere. It was really funny to see.

Big boy bath! Cam has graduated to taking baths in the sink to sitting on the toddler side of his baby bathtub in the big bath. He loves splashing around in the bath and playing with his sea toys. He got a bunch of little water squirt toys for Christmas, and he thinks it is hilarious when we spray water on his feet and little toes. It is the cutest! Bath time is one of our favorite times together now, it is so cute seeing him have so much fun splashing around.
